I have seen for myself how Jiu-Jitsu helps people with autism. I am researching the area with a goal to finding out more.

I am gathering support for a conference in Maryland, USA, to take place in early 2022.

We Can Represent.

When I started Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu ( BJJ ), it was for me. Something I could do and enjoy for myself. Shortly after starting, my twin brother Charlie came along too. We weren't sure if Charlie would enjoy the sport. If he could cope with any of its requirements. Autistic kids are limited, right? Well, not only could he. He loved it and he grew in himself. Really quickly.

As the months went by, I became aware that a number of the kids practicing with me are neurologically diverse. Some diagnosed with autism. All loving the sport and being strong rolling partners.
I've done some initial research and found others have noticed the same thing.
Now I want to: raise awareness of this, continue my research, host a conference to explore and discuss what I and others have found.
